Simulation Study of Aircraft Active-Active Hydroelectric Hybrid Power Drive Unit

Abstract The Power Drive Unit (PDU) is the power source of aircraft high-lift system (HLS), which converts hydraulic or electric energy into mechanical for output, and deflects flap/slat through transmission lines to increase wing area improve lift. Two sets motor subsystems working simultaneously are used in Active-Active PDU traditional reliability system. In this paper, an Hydroelectric Hybrid (HPDU) designed with a fixed-displacement permanent magnet synchronous motor, fundamental composition HPDU introduced, mathematical model main components analyzed, modeled based on AMESim, function operation performance investigated by simulation. results show that can realize functional design requirements such as forward reverse rotation withstanding sudden load within rated range during running.
